The Holidays Fico d'India is a three-star hotel located in the natural scenery of Furore, the "Painted Village" of the Amalfi Coast, named for the numerous wall murals that paint its scenic routes. The building is an ancient house that the current owners inherited from their grandparents, it's about a little villa surrounded by gardens, exotic plants and citrus groves reflecting the Mediterranean atmosphere of our coasts. Every single corner of this breathtaking place is carefully maintained. This, coupled with the name used for the hotel, suggests the strong link between the owners and their beloved homeland. In fact, the "Fico d’India" (the Prickly Pears) is a typical plant of the Amalfi Coast and, in particular, of the enchanted village of Furore. Holidays Fico D'India is a gem of a Bed and Breakfast tucked just a short 6km from Amalfi and just down the road from Praiano and Positano. It is less trafficked than Amalfi, and is a great refuge from the hustle and bustle.The family that runs the B&B is very accommodating, hospitable and organized. The little restaurant is well-run and well-stocked; food was great. Breakfast was simple, and splendidly Italian.

Hotel Fico D'India is one of a kind. It nestles just off a series of switchback roads not far (as the crow flies) from Praiana, with wonderful ocean and Furore Gorge views. Our room was sunny and cheerful, with views towards the coast enjoyed from our balcony. The breakfast patio is a great place for starting the day, as well as finishing it as in the evening it doubles as a very good restaurant.

A twenty minute drive above Amalfi you will find this lovely place on three floors -so make sure you don't mind steps! Pretty rooms overlooking the sea, sparkling clean and comfortable. A warm welcome from your host, Pino, who is also very helpful...breakfast outside in the sunshine, places to sit quietly with views of the sea and surrounded by lemon trees, and at the end of the day really delicious dishes.
